Deadly Maths is the name given to the mathematics education projects, and to the approach to teaching mathematics in these projects, developed by a group of Brisbane mathematics-education researchers who collaborate to build the capacity of underachieving students with respect to mathematics. It contains information (reports and resources) on projects that the group have undertaken in many centres across Queensland, mainly in Australian Indigenous communities, to enhance the learning of mathematics. The members of the group, in alphabetic order, are Dr Annette Baturo and Professor Tom Cooper from Queensland University of Technology (Kelvin Grove Campus), Dr Chris Matthews from Griffith University (Nathan Campus), and Professor Elizabeth Warren from Australian Catholic University (McAuley Campus).
The major website for this group is titled Building Mathematics Education Capacity.

For the purposes of the website, the Deadly Maths projects are divided into those whose primary purpose was to affect: (1) professional learning of teachers, teacher assistants, and tutors, (2) student learning across all compulsory Years P-10, and (3) vocational learning of Years 11 and 12 students and adults (in schools and Technical and Further Education Institutes). Menu links to these and other sources of information are on the left.
The project descriptions contain student and teacher resources. These can be directly accessed through "Resources", on the menu to the left.
Most projects, but not all, have centred on QUT. All projects have been supported by a wide group of assistants in QUT, Griffith and ACU. Not all people have worked on all projects. The personnel involved in projects are listed under "Project Team" in each of the projects. Finally, for general information on BMEC and Deadly Maths, please go to the menu items "Approach" and "Contacts".

Projects have also been supported by grants of various forms. Acknowledgments to the providers of these grants are given at the beginning of each project's site.
